What To Do When Griffinites Attack

Image - The Griffinites Attack ! Here we see a group image of the Green Arrow and his zombie army of attack Zombie maggots.

The instructional film here applies primarily to Zombies, though of course Griffinites are a sub species of the Zombie community and hence the techniques in this video can apply as well as to Griffinites as Zombies.

The techniques can also apply to all sorts of brain dead idiots on the internet such as Griffinite sock puppets on the BDF Forum, deformed genetic dwarf freaks like Sean Hadley and raving nationalist zombie nutters like Sharon Ebanks.

Remember though, as they are Zombies do not expect to debate them into embracing common sense, for the nature of the Nationalist Zombie and Griffinite is to forgo logic and reason for cult like devotion and stupidity.

The Joys of Diversity

Cameron won’t make me a Minister... I’m a white, married, Home Counties Christian, says Tory MP

Scathing: John Glen's complaints prompted accusations of sour grapes

A new Tory MP has made a scathing attack on David Cameron for promoting women and people from the ethnic minorities over ‘white, Christian, married’ men.

John Glen, the party’s former head of research, said his background effectively ruled him out for a ministerial job under Mr Cameron.

He said: ‘I don’t anticipate any early calls to Government. I’m a white, Christian, married bloke from the Home Counties so I probably don’t fit the description of what the leadership wants at the moment.’

The Salisbury MP, one of 147 new Tory MPs elected in May, should on paper be a potential high-flier in the Commons after running the respected Conservative Research Department following the 2005 General Election.

Previous Tory research chiefs who have gone on to top posts include Andrew Lansley, now the Health Secretary, and Chris Patten, who served as Conservative Party Chairman under John Major’s Government.

Mr Glen, 36, also accused Mr Cameron of ‘vetoing’ his bid to be Tory candidate three years ago and complained how he was initially left off the party’s controversial ‘A-list’ of fast-tracked candidates. And the Oxford-educated MP appeared to lash out at new Tory colleagues trying too hard to get noticed and ‘racing around and annoying everyone’.

Mr Glen said: ‘What is important is that you don’t lose your soul along the way. I’d rather be a damn good constituency MP and be known to speak the truth than someone who has got on the ladder too soon and is not experienced or able enough to deal with the pressure. I’ve noticed some colleagues out to make a name for themselves.’

His remarks, in an article for the Commons in-house journal The House Magazine, will revive the rows over Mr Cameron’s determination to rebrand his party by fast-tracking women and ethnic-minority parliamentary candidates over traditional Tory ‘pin-striped’ men prior to May’s General Election.

It led to the famous ‘Turnip Taliban’ revolt when Tories in South-West Norfolk unsuccessfully tried to deselect candidate Liz Truss over her failure to declare an earlier affair with married Tory MP Mark Field.

Controversy: The remarks will revive the rows over Mr Cameron's determination to rebrand his party by fast-tracking women and ethnic-minority parliamentary candidates over traditional Tory 'pin-striped' men

After the Election, many local activists who resented the ‘A-list’ priority candidates felt vindicated when a number failed to win. Five openly gay candidates were not elected, two of whom – David Gold in Eltham and Mark Coote in Cheltenham – were standing in seats pencilled in by Tory high command as easy wins.

Mr Glen complained that his political career suffered a ‘blow’ when he failed to be included on the first round of A-list candidates.

But even after he got on to a later priority list, he said the Tory leader blocked his bid to be the party’s candidate in Henley in 2008 – the safe seat vacated by Boris Johnson when he became London Mayor. Mr Glen said he was rejected even though his wife-to-be lived in the Oxfordshire town.

Mr Glen wrote that ‘to his immense credit, David Cameron later apologised for what happened’.

However, he also complained that after Mr Cameron became party leader in December 2005, his career at Tory HQ ‘started to go wrong’ and that he was not appreciated by Steve Hilton, the new leader’s director of strategy and image guru.

‘I sensed that my days would be numbered, and in my early encounters with Steve Hilton and members of David Cameron’s office, I sensed a lack of esteem for what I could bring to the table,’ he said.

The MP also attacked the decision by close Cameron ally Francis Maude, now a Cabinet Office Minister, to abolish the Conservative Research Department as ‘very short-sighted’.

Last night, a fellow Conservative MP privately accused Mr Glen of ‘sour grapes’, saying that out of more than 100 Ministers in the Coalition, only 19 were women and only ‘a handful’ were from ethnic minorities.

Here we see the BNP and its greatest supporters in all their glorious incomptence.

And as for Andrew Brons - what the hell is he doing going on a site run by Paul Morris anyway, a man who threatened to put the names and addresses of BNP members on the internet if they dared support the reform group.

The only thing gained from sitting on the fence all the time is a sore arse.

Another 2 Jump Before They are Pushed

In less than 24 hours two more BNP councillors have resigned.

Alex Copland, Loughton Town Council in eastern region went yesterday.

And David Owens as well ;

After reading Griffins statements here, it may be very wise for them to leave ahead of the BNP imploding due to its debts -

“No matter what happens on 8 November, and no matter what financial pressures are brought to bear on this party, our pledge to the cause of Britain is this: that we will never give up,” Mr Griffin told BNP News.

“The enemies of Britain think they can break us financially. They think that if they keep us in court, the party will stop functioning if it is bled dry. I want to tell them this: our movement is stronger than that.

“Our movement will continue no matter what, because we are motivated by a noble spirit which is foreign and inexplicable to our enemies.

“Our cause comes from within us, and the strength to carry on is a fountain which their financial pressure cannot break.

“Nothing, and I repeat, nothing, not financial pressure, not legal cases, not their media-smears, will break us. We will carry on in one form or another until we have secured the right of our people to live in peace and freedom in their homeland.”
Since when did he stop refering to 'the party' and start talking about 'the movement'? Presumably a movement cannot be wound up hence his preference for the term. Apologies for recycling old news.

Note no reference to the party, just 'the movement'.

This is virtually an admission that the BNP is going to longer exist after just one of the three legal cases it faces hits it in the next few weeks.

And who is responsible for every single one of those legal cases - Griffin.

The idiot himself.

But Griffin wants you to join his new Civil Rights group, an idea he stole totally from me, which unfortunately for him he has no idea how to deploy as I never told him.

So eventually he will cock that up as well.

The BNP is like a rotting fish - and the rot always begins with the head and then moves down the body.

A Good Quote from A Real Hero

"When I want my men to remember something important, to really make it stick, I give it to them double dirty. It may not sound nice to some bunch of little old ladies at an afternoon tea party, but it helps my soldiers to remember. You can't run an army without profanity; and it has to be eloquent profanity. An army without profanity couldn't fight its way out of a ****-soaked paper bag. ... As for the types of comments I make, sometimes I just, By God, get carried away with my own eloquence."

The Tragic Irony

Take a look at the name of the person who pushed this top liberal lawyer under the tube train.

No doubt it was one of the very same group of people - an immigrant - that he had spent his entire career defending.

Here was see what can only be described as a liberal tragic irony.

In the name of liberalism the liberal elite have imported in people into this country who despise liberalism.

Now they are reaping what they sowed.

Transvestite, 63, who died under Tube train was top human rights lawyer

A transvestite killed after allegedly being pushed under a tube train was a top human rights lawyer, it was revealed today.

David Burgess, 63, who died on Monday evening at King's Cross station, worked for a leading firm of immigration law experts.

It comes as a 34-year-old woman was today appearing in court charged with Mr Burgess's murder.

Nina Kanagasingham, from Cricklewood in north west London, appeared at City of Westimister Magistrates Court.

Wearing a dark blue sweater and dark trousers, she spoke only to confirm her name and date of birth at the brief hearing.

There was no application for bail and she was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey.

Mr Burgess had worked for law firm Luqmani Thompson and Partners in Wood Green, north London, having previously been senior partner at the renowned immigration firm, Winstanley Burgess Solicitors.

His work since the 1970s had led to significant judgments in the House of Lords, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

A citation on his employer's website said his abilities 'bring an added depth to our firm'.

He had been involved in cases regarding fair trials in foreign countries, people facing exclusion from the Refugee Convention, civil claims against the Ministry of Defence for unlawful detention, as well as country guidance casework on North Korea.

A commendation by London barrister Raza Hussain Q.C. reads: 'David Burgess was a partner in the firm Winstanley Burgess Solicitors, the gold standard immigration law firm in the 1990s.

'He was responsible for what was described by Professor Sir William Wade as the most important constitutional case for centuries (M v. Home Office), which began with David's attendance out of hours before a Duty Judge challenging the unlawful removal of his client to Zaire.

'M Orders' have entered the lexicon of public law. David had personal conduct of the evidential aspect of the argument in Chahal v UK, perhaps the most important European immigration law case of the last few decades.

'David has superb analytical skills, and total commitment to his cases. It is tremendous news for the immigration law community that he is working with Luqmani Thompson & Partners, one of the leading immigration law firms which has continued in the Winstanley Burgess tradition of offering top quality service to its clients.'

King's Cross station had to be evacuated and the Piccadilly line closed as police recovered Mr Burgess's body after the incident at around 6.30pm on Monday.

It was initially reported that a woman had died, with witnesses reporting how they saw two women sharing a joke before the victim was killed.

However, it since emerged the victim was a man.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said emergency services were called to the Underground station following reports of 'a person under a Piccadilly line train'.

Detective Superintendent Ashley Croft, BTP's senior investigating officer, said earlier this week that 'early indications from witnesses are that the victim and the suspect knew each other'.

Several witnesses had come forward, he said, and CCTV from the station was being reviewed.

The Piccadilly line was suspended through King's Cross until late into Monday evening, causing rush-hour chaos for thousands.

Scores of passengers were forced to abandon their train and walk along tracks to Caledonian Road station after the line was closed.

A TfL spokesman said: 'The Piccadilly line was suspended between Hyde Park and Arnos Grove in both directions following an incident at King's Cross.

'Due to this investigation a following train was stopped in the tunnel and the 172 passengers were taken off and walked back to Caledonian Road station safely.

'Ambulances were sent to Caledonian Road station as a precaution but were not required.'

General Election 2010: Lib Dem amnesty signals British passports for 1m illegal migrants
More than a million foreigners could be given British citizenship under Liberal Democrat plans to offer an amnesty to illegal immigrants, it emerged on Sunday.

Nick Clegg, the Liberal Democrat leader, was forced to concede in a BBC interview that he was unable to estimate how many illegal immigrants would settle under his amnesty plans. He also suggested that the spouses and children of those allowed to remain in Britain could be granted citizenship.

The Conservatives and Labour rounded on the plans, describing the scheme as a “disaster”. Similar amnesties in other countries led to a surge in illegal immigration.

A study released yesterday suggested that Britain was home to more than one million illegal immigrants who could take advantage of an amnesty. The research from MigrationWatch UK, a think tank lobbying for stricter immigration rules, predicted that the number of illegal immigrants was almost twice the Government estimate. A separate study conducted last year by the London School of Economics for Boris Johnson, the London mayor, concluded that there could be up to 863,000 illegal immigrants.

Yesterday, when asked how many illegal immigrants would benefit from his proposed amnesty, Mr Clegg said: “Well we can’t tell, bluntly, because this is all about a problem which has been caused by a succession of Labour and Conservative governments presiding over chaos in the immigration system and allowing a large number of people to come here illegally.”

The Lib Dem policy could have a serious impact on the public finances as newly accepted immigrants gain the right to use public services and claim benefits.

The Tories have pledged to introduce an annual cap – in the “tens of thousands” – for the number of immigrants allowed to settle in Britain. They would also increase border patrols. Chris Grayling, the shadow home secretary, said: “The Lib Dems’ proposed amnesty for illegal immigrants would be a disaster for Britain.

“All the evidence from other countries is that amnesties don’t work. The Lib Dem approach would send a message to the world that you can come to Britain illegally and get away with it.” Alan Johnson, the Home Secretary, added: “Even Nick Clegg is beginning to admit that his party’s immigration plans are flaky and unworkable. In a dangerous signal to those thinking of coming to Britain illegally, Nick Clegg has refused to rule out granting an amnesty not just for illegal migrants but for their partners and families too.”

Refugee Action, a charity that assists more than 10,000 asylum seekers a year, said the Lib Dem plan may “undermine” public trust in immigration policies.

Unwitting Western couple mocked as 'infidel' and 'swine' by 'minister' during foreign language wedding ceremony at luxury Maldives resort

A luxury resort in the Maldives has sparked outrage after a video appeared on You Tube showing members of staff abusing and mocking their guests using a language they were unable to understand.

Employees at the Vilu Reef Beach and Spa resort can be seen calling an English-speaking couple ‘infidel’ and ‘swine’ and calling their guests' marriage illegal in their native Dhivehi tongue throughout the 15-minute wedding ceremony.

According to the Maldives news service Minivan News, the video which was uploaded to You Tube ‘as a joke’, shows an employee named Hussein Didi conducting a service as a 'celebrant' - a person who is empowered to perform a religious ceremony.
After explaining the ceremony in English, the group stands and 'minister' starts chanting in Dhivehi. Unfortunately for the happy couple, he is insulting them

Couple humiliated during ceremony at Maldive resort

Oblivious: The couple are unaware that they are being insulted during the ceremony that was conducted in the traditional Maldivian tongue of Dhivehi

The document he uses, of which there is a brief close-up in the video, has absolutely no relation to marriage laws in the Maldives.

Words that are legible on the document refer to ‘staff employment’, suggesting that it is a document relating to employment regulations.

Asking the couple and other ‘officials’ to raise their hands as is customary for Muslim prayers, the ‘celebrant’ begins his marriage vows.

‘Fornication has been legalised according to Article six, 1.11 of the Penal Code,' he chants in a tone favoured by religious scholars. ‘That is, frequent fornication by homosexuals. Most fornication is by males,’ he continues.

‘You are swine. The children that you bear from this marriage will all be bastard swine,’ he says to his guests.

‘Your marriage is not a valid one. You are not the kind of people who can have a valid marriage. One of you is an infidel. The other, too, is an infidel – and we have reason to believe – an atheist, who does not even believe in an infidel religion.’

The hapless couple remain oblivious as the ‘celebrant’, surrounded by 10 to 15 employees, calls for the marriage to be enshrined in Islamic law, followed by further personal insults against the couple.

None of the employees attempts to stop the 'ceremony' and several take photographs.
At the end of the 'service' the couple plant a coconut tree as Hussein Didi and his crew make rude remarks about the bride's breasts

At the end of the 'service' the couple plant a coconut tree as Hussein Didi - who conducted the ceremony - and his crew make rude remarks about the bride's breasts

Various types of insults about the woman and the man, their clothing and demeanour, are spoken throughout in the form of a running commentary in a sports video.

The woman speak English, largely just in reply to the 'officials', and it appears from the video that their surname is Alexander, although one news agency maintains they are Swiss.

As the bride bends down to plant the coconut tree, a man is heard is exclaiming: 'Can see her breasts!' The ‘commentator’ observes: 'She is wearing something', he knows, he says, 'because my beard has gone grey watching those things… I have seen so many of them now that I don’t even want to look any more when I see them.'

A police investigation has been launched into the incident while management at the resort have said that the employees have been sacked and evicted from the resort altogether.

But the resort admitted that it does not have a person who is specifically designated to perform the rituals.

Paradise lost: The couple who were renewing their vows at the resort were humiliated by employees during the ceremony

The groom, who is watering the new coconut tree which they have just planted, is totally unaware of the manner in which his wife and her breasts are being discussed by the group of Maldivian men ‘officiating’ at the renewal of their wedding vows.

‘Celebrant’ Didi tells the couple they should return soon to check on the progress of their plant, testament to what had taken place on the island that day.

The video concludes with the ‘commentator’ repeatedly urging the ‘celebrant’ to make the couple ‘suck mouths, suck mouths’ - an expression used by Maldivians to denigrate the act of kissing.
Vilu Reef Beach and Spa Resort

A stay at the exclusive luxury resort can cost £850 per person

In a statement the resort expressed its ‘deep concern and regret’ over the incident. Set on its own exclusive island in the Indian Ocean, the Maldive resort is a popular destination for couples intending to renew their marriage vows.

A stay at the Vilu Reef beach and Spa costs from $1335 per person and it is advertised as a place where couples can ‘celebrate and capture the special moments of your life and mark a milestone in your amazing journey together or wish to rejoice another year of life’.

The video has sparked outrage from tourism authorities in the country. Deputy Tourism Minister Ismail Yasir said ‘we are investigating the matter through the resort management.

'The management informed us in writing that it would send us its findings as the matter involves the company’s employees.’

Cameron can't halt rise in Euro budget: PM admits jump of at least £430m is out of his hands
(And he's not even going to try to stop a new EU treaty or give us a referendum on it)

* Cameron admits he's powerless to stop budget hikes

David Cameron has been forced to admit today there is nothing he can do to stop British taxpayers footing a multimillion-pound hike in the EU budget - despite his demands the runaway bill be reined in.

The Prime Minister is powerless to prevent the budget soaring by at least 2.9 per cent - equivalent to an extra £429million from the UK - after failing to gain support from other EU members.

The rise could even be as high as 6 per cent, at a time when public services in Britain are being slashed in a bid to cut the deficit.

But Mr Cameron is also coming under fresh pressure to hold an EU referendum after France and Germany demanded embarrassing changes to the infamous Lisbon Treaty - barely a year after it was finally approved.
Not so tough: David Cameron at PMQs yesterday was forced to admit that taxpayers will have to pay more to the EU budget

Not so tough: David Cameron at PMQs yesterday was forced to admit that taxpayers will have to pay more to the EU budget

Mr Cameron - who will travel to Brussels today to sign up to the budget deal - has been keen to deflect attention away from the treaty changes by focusing on EU spending.

But British Eurosceptics clamouring for a referendum on the EU are demanding any changes be put to UK voters and have accused Mr Cameron of 'making schoolboy promises on Europe he knows he cannot keep'.

Nigel Farage from the UK Independence Party said: 'Britain will continue to fund the megalomaniacal ambitions of the European Union, and this government like the last will wriggle out of its promises for a referendum. Yet again you cannot trust the Conservatives on Europe', he said.

Downing Street sources have indicated Mr Cameron would consider trading Britain’s agreement to a Franco-German plan for a treaty amendment in return for a budget cap.

But he will only agree as long as the amended treaty did not apply to the UK as this would break an election pledge that new treaties should be subject to a referendum.

German chancellor Angela Merkel said changes are needed to tighten rules on bailing out any member states which may face a Greek-style economic meltdown and to toughen sanctions against those who breach EU single currency debt and deficit rules.

After the signing last year, then prime minister Gordon Brown said there should be no more EU treaty changes for at least a decade and president of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso said it was time to end 'institutional navel-gazing' in Europe.

Now, to their embarrassment, many EU leaders face pressure from Berlin and Paris to agree to reopen the treaty in the wake of the economic crisis.

Although Britain is not affected by sanctions against eurozone countries, a helpless British government official said that 'treaty change is not where we would want to be at this time'.

'We would not go along with any changes which would amount to a transfer of more powers to Brussels, but eurozone economic sanctions do not apply to us.

'On the other hand, 40 per cent of our exports are to the eurozone member states and it is important to us that there is economic stability in the eurozone so we support whatever measures are necessary (to maintain stability)', the official added.

EU and national lawyers are at odds over whether Mrs Merkel's planned changes can be agreed without reopening the treaty or the need for referendums in member states.

If not, MEPs would certainly demand a new 'convention' to give them a voice in any changes, and the procedural in-fighting which has blighted the Union for years would continue.

Minister for Europe David Liddington played down the prospect of any treaty change.

He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: 'It's very far from clear there is a consensus even with the eurozone countries for a treaty change.

'We are not going to sign up to any treaty change that transfers powers from the United Kingdom to Brussels institutions.'

New treaty: German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy will today pushed for changes to the Lisbon agreement to help protect the euro

In an interview with the Mail last week, Mr Cameron described a 6 per cent rise in the EU budget as ‘completely irresponsible and unacceptable’.

‘We need an alliance to block increases,’ he said. ‘I think the French will also be keen on budget restraint and we should push this extremely hard.’

But Downing Street has admitted there was little or no chance of persuading other countries to agree to a freeze or a cut for 2011.

Mr Cameron is still pushing for a lower increase, and is demanding a cut or a freeze after 2014, when the next long-term spending review begins.

He told MPs it was ‘completely unacceptable’ for EU spending to relentlessly rise when individual countries are slashing their own budgets.

But when he travels to Brussels today he will be forced to sign up to a deal which will see the UK’s contributions increasing dramatically in 2011.

All EU finance ministers, including Britain’s, had agreed in August the budget rise would be 2.9 per cent. This was later overturned by the European Parliament, which demanded a 5.9 per cent increase.

Mr Cameron spoke to EU leaders including the German Chancellor to try to win support.

He already has the backing of Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic – who all agree the rise should be far less than 6 per cent. The leaders will be meeting at the summit in Brussels over new budget rules to prevent another Greek-style crisis in the Eurozone.

During Prime Minister’s questions yesterday, Mr Cameron said: ‘The greatest priority for Britain should be to fight very hard to get the EU budget under control. It is completely unacceptable at a time when we are making tough budget decisions here we are seeing spending rise consistently in the European Union.
U-turn: Only last week, David Cameron was talking tough when it came the EU cash

U-turn: Only last week, David Cameron was talking tough when it came to the EU cash

‘I think that is wrong, and I am going to be doing everything I can to try and sort out the budget for next year.’

As the Prime Minister was yesterday pledging to fight the rise, it emerged the EU is to spend £10million to lease a grand new headquarters in Brussels for its new diplomatic corps, the European External Action Service.

Some 7,000 civil servants are to move into the Triangle building to run the department, which will have a budget of £5.8billion a year. Labour backbencher Kate Hoey said the British public did not want to see a ‘single penny more’ given to the EU when they were facing cuts at home. ‘Will you promise if they demand this money, ultimately we just say, “Sorry, we are not paying”,’ she asked.

Mr Cameron declined to do so, admitting he could not get any lower than the 2.9 per cent agreed in August. ‘The European Parliament has insisted on a higher budget, so the first thing we have to do is to say that is not acceptable, and build a majority on the Council to get it down again,’ he said.

Mr Cameron will also use the summit to demand changes to European budgets from 2014 to 2020, which will be thrashed out in the coming months.

Financial Secretary to the Treasury Mark Hoban said ministers had ‘serious concerns’ about the proposed size of the 2011 EU budget. ‘We will fight this hard,’ he said.

The extent to which Britain’s foreign aid budget has been wasted was laid bare last night.

A Mail investigation reveals how the Department for International Development, which distributes overseas aid, has thrown away millions on consultants, office refurbishments and private school fees.

But, although the existing budget is a catalogue of waste, the DfID’s front-line spending budget is to be increased by 37 per cent over the next four years – even as other departments face cuts of almost 20 per cent.

Last year, the department spent more than £255,000 on taxi fares in Britain – a total that has almost trebled in recent years.

Ministers also spent £19million on external private sector consultants last year – and a total of £65million in the last three years, a study of Parliamentary answers reveals.

Since 2002, DfID has spent £29million on office refurbishments, including £11million to overhaul its UK headquarters in London.

And £98,000 was spent last year on a project to design a new logo for UKaid, used to brand British-backed development projects in the Third World.

In 2009-10, stationery costs hit £52,000 and £90,000 was spent on newspapers, bringing the total over the last six years to £664,000.

Tory International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell has launched an overhaul of the department since the election

And the official figures released by the department also reveal the favourable terms and conditions DfID staff enjoy.

The cost of performance-related pay has more than doubled from £4.1million to £10million over the last six years. Some 19 members of staff were handed bonuses of more than £30,000 last year.

Together, DfID workers ran up expenses totalling more than £713,000, with ten staff making individual expense claims in excess of £1,500.

The documents also highlight the generous education allowances which allow staff serving overseas to send their children to some of Britain’s top public schools.

Last year, 48 members of staff received a total of £1.3million in private school fees, including leading independent schools Winchester, Marlborough, Roedean and Fettes College, where Tony Blair was educated.

Details of the waste last night led to calls for the Government to abandon plans to plough yet more millions into foreign aid. Critics said the money would be better spent at home.

The increase adds nearly £4billion extra to the budget, at a cost of nearly £500 to every family.

Tory MP Philip Davies said: ‘These details emphasise why the first priority should be to spend the existing budget in a more sensible way.

‘You don’t go around increasing a budget that is wasting so much of its existing allocation.

‘Voters will see cuts to things that matter to them in their local communities but also expect to see the same restraint elsewhere.’

Seven out of ten grassroots Tories oppose the increase in the aid budget.
money.jpg

Sam Bowman, of the Adam Smith Institute, said: ‘It makes no sense at all for the Government to tell us with one breath that cuts are necessary, which they are, and to then turn around and say we need to spend more on aid, which we do not.’

Tory International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell has launched an overhaul of the department since the election.

He blamed the waste on Labour: ‘Well-spent British aid saves millions of lives every year. But the previous Labour government weren’t tough enough on stamping out waste.

'That’s why I’ve instigated a tough value for money review at DfID to look at all items of spending.’

The following is an excerpt from Michael Hudson's THE MONSTER: How a Gang of Predatory Lenders and Wall Street Bankers Fleeced America – And Spawned a Global Crisis (2010, Times Books)

A few weeks after he started working at Ameriquest Mortgage, Mark Glover looked up from his cubicle and saw a coworker do something odd. The guy stood at his desk on the twenty-third floor of downtown Los Angeles's Union Bank Building. He placed two sheets of paper against the window. Then he used the light streaming through the window to trace something from one piece of paper to another. Somebody's signature.

Glover was new to the mortgage business. He was twenty-nine and hadn't held a steady job in years. But he wasn't stupid. He knew about financial sleight of hand -- at that time, he had a check-fraud charge hanging over his head in the L.A. courthouse a few blocks away. Watching his coworker, Glover's first thought was: How can I get away with that? As a loan officer at Ameriquest, Glover worked on commission. He knew the only way to earn the six-figure income Ameriquest had promised him was to come up with tricks for pushing deals through the mortgage-financing pipeline that began with Ameriquest and extended through Wall Street's most respected investment houses.

Glover and the other twentysomethings who filled the sales force at the downtown L.A. branch worked the phones hour after hour, calling strangers and trying to talk them into refinancing their homes with high-priced "subprime" mortgages. It was 2003, subprime was on the rise, and Ameriquest was leading the way. The company's owner, Roland Arnall, had in many ways been the founding father of subprime, the business of lending money to home owners with modest incomes or blemished credit histories. He had pioneered this risky segment of the mortgage market amid the wreckage of the savings and loan disaster and helped transform his company's headquarters, Orange County, California, into the capital of the subprime industry. Now, with the housing market booming and Wall Street clamoring to invest in subprime, Ameriquest was growing with startling velocity.

Up and down the line, from loan officers to regional managers and vice presidents, Ameriquest's employees scrambled at the end of each month to push through as many loans as possible, to pad their monthly production numbers, boost their commissions, and meet Roland Arnall's expectations. Arnall was a man "obsessed with loan volume," former aides recalled, a mortgage entrepreneur who believed "volume solved all problems." Whenever an underling suggested a goal for loan production over a particular time span, Arnall's favorite reply was: "We can do twice that." Close to midnight Pacific time on the last business day of each month, the phone would ring at Arnall's home in Los Angeles's exclusive Holmby Hills neighborhood, a $30 million estate that once had been home to Sonny and Cher.On the other end of the telephone line, a vice president in Orange County would report the month's production numbers for his lending empire. Even as the totals grew to $3 billion or $6 billion or $7 billion a month -- figures never before imagined in the subprime business -- Arnall wasn't satisfied. He wanted more. "He would just try to make you stretch beyond what you thought possible," one former Ameriquest executive recalled. "Whatever you did, no matter how good you did, it wasn't good enough."

Proposition 19

I in fact disagree with Proposition 19 in California as I do not want marijuana to be legalised, as I want it to remain strictly licensed for those with medical conditions who benefit physically or mentally from the herb.

A good article here on the issues though ;

Diversity is Cultural Suicide

When immigrants enter Britain, they must come to integrate not colonise.

Therefore if they wish to join public institutions like the police then they must demonstrate their respect for British culture and respect for the majority population and history of Britain by adhering to our norms, not imposing theirs.

Therefore they must integrate into our society, not we surrender our culture to accomodate them.

( The bits about the illuminati and jewish central bankers in the article below are bug bears of the author, which I disagree with as the bankers of the world are not just Jewish - wherever greedy men are in the world then a banker is born so they are of all races and all religions - and the illuminati do not exist, but the globalists do. The article is interesting for what it says about diversity, not the conspiracy theories)

http://www.henrymakow.com/diversity_an_admission_of_cult.html

You'd be forgiven if you thought Gurvinder Singh Chal, 35, (above) belonged to the Punjabi Police Force.

In fact, he's the latest recruit to the Winnipeg Police Service.

He wears the turban "for cultural and religious reasons" and, with the blessing of Chief Keith McCaskill, it'll be part of his standard uniform. It's a "symbol of Diversity."

The former 7-Eleven clerk has been in the country for just three years but his cultural needs trump those of the 136-year-old Winnipeg Police Service. Apparently the WPS has no cultural tradition worth preserving; its uniform has no significance whatever.

The move isn't uncommon in Canada, with Sikh officers in cities such as Ottawa and Vancouver wearing turbans. We have no cultural identity in Canada. Perhaps this is the reason.

I hope the Filipinos, Somalis and aboriginals who make up Winnipeg's rich cultural mosaic also will be able to modify their uniform.

ISN'T DIVERSITY GREAT?

I expect that if I were 35 again and joined the Punjab police, they'd let me blow off the turban and wear a Jewish skullcap or Mountie hat.

I'm sure I could take Saturdays or Sundays off to celebrate my religion. To help me remember my homeland, they'd allow a Beaver Insignia and Tim Horton's logo on my uniform. That's multiculturalism!

And I expect that if 20 million people of European Christian extraction moved to the Punjab, they'd move heaven and earth to ensure we got our proportionate share of good jobs.

I know Punjabis value "Diversity" as much as we do.

[This is where I insert my Disclaimer: I like racial minorities. I like their restaurants and cooking. They have strong family values and this is more important now than ever. I was married to a Filipina for two years. I am not a racist in the negative sense.

I'm all for people being treated fairly. That means hiring on the basis of qualifications and ability, not quotas for color and gender.]

EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN DUNCES

This article is just to marvel at the stupidity of the fast-shrinking European majority and the perfidy of the traitors who pass as their "leaders."

I am all for having racial minorities but it should be obvious that "Diversity" is a ruse. Europeans are being sweet talked out of their national birthright. They're fast becoming the next minority in Europe and North America and, with all the guilt trips, I'm not sure they'll be treated with the same "tolerance."

Apparently Jews can have a country where they are the majority and set the cultural standard. So can Indians, Arabs, Africans, Japanese and Chinese. But Europeans cannot.

Europeans have a sense of political and economic entitlement, and represent the last potential resistance to Illuminati control. They have vestiges of Christianity, the thing the Illuminati hate more than anything. According to Christianity, man has a Divine soul; they obey God and thereby become more God-like. The Illuminati see people as animals trained to obey them.

Many "minorities" and "women" are beholden to the Illuminati who put them in power. They are their trained seals.

Were "Multiculturalism" or "Diversity" ever major election issues? No. They were never debated. They entered the world in the form of "political correctness.' To question them exposed you to charges of bad taste and racism.

Multiculturalism and Diversity are social engineering programs introduced by the Illuminati (Masonic Jewish) central bankers. They are designed to change the European and Christian character of Europe and North America. They prevent us from maintaining and celebrating our cultural identity and traditions. Take school prayer for example.

Similarly, feminism was an excuse to undermine marriage, heterosexuality and males in general. The school prom, virginity and even courtship went the way of the dodo. Marriage and birthrates plummeted.

Dunce_Cap.jpgEuropeans have been sweet talked out of their national birthright. Our politicians work for the corporations or unions which are all controlled by the central bankers. They're not our leaders. They're our managers at best. Chief McCaskill and all the other clarions of "Diversity" are of the same ilk.

So I'd like to suggest a traditional head covering for the future European minority. It's the Dunce's Cap. It's for people who don't appreciate their blessings and don't protect them. It's for people who don't have the smarts to perpetuate themselves, their values and traditions, and as a consequence become extinct.

And if you're feeling resentful, don't blame the minorities. Let's blame ourselves and our so-called leaders -- the politicians, pastors, academics and pundits who sold us out for a profit to the Illuminati bankers and their satanic New World Order.

Remember that it is the organised Zionist groups like Searchlight that are the primary enemies of British Nationalism and who are working to prevent the British and Jewish people from resisting the Islamists and Islamist colonisation in our country.

The Jewish people are as much anti-Zionist as they are anti-Islamist, for they know that the Zionists were the ones working with the Nazis during WW2.

We support Israel and Israeli Nationalism, we resist the Zionists and Islamists as they are both the enemies of Britain.

It is the Zionists in the media that attack the EDL.

It is the Zionists who call British Nationalists 'racist' for organising politically to defend our society.

British Jews serve in the British Army, they are loyal and patriotic British citizens - it is the Zionists that are their enemy as much as ours.

With a Daily Star poll at the weekend revealing that 98 % of the British people think Britain is becoming an Islamist state ;

EDL Rally for Israel

Well done to the EDL for their latest rally supporting Israel in London at the weekend.

For far too long the anti-semites in Nationalism have attacked Israel as a way of attacking Jews.

The simple fact is that Israel is not the enemy of British Nationalism.

Israel is a country.

The enemies of British Nationalism are those Zionists, of all races and religions, who put the interests of their racist, imperialist, fascist ideology before the interests of Israel, Britain and the British people.

The problem is that many Nationalists are either too thick or too brainwashed with anti-semitism to understand that being a Zionist does not equate to being either Jewish or with Israel.

The most dangerous and psychotic zionists in the world are not Israeli's they are Americans - and they are mainly the born again Christian fundamentalist lunatics who dominate the Republican Party.

Both George Bush and Tony Blair are Zionists and they started the wars we are fighting.

Zionism is not just a political project for Jewish lunatics, it is a fundamentalist Christian, left wing and right wing political project for lunatics all across the world for many reasons - and who are primarily not even Jewish.

Israel is a nation state and as nationalists we support the right of all peoples on the planet to national self determination - from Israel, to Palestine to Iran.

What we do not support are insane Zionists and Islamists that think they have the right to rule the world or the Middle East for the benefit of their own warped and perverted ideologies.

We as British Nationalists should support all Israeli Nationalists and resist all Zionists and Islamists.

I am sure that in the EDL there are some who do not understand the difference between Zionism and Israeli Nationalism, but then again there are far more in the nationalist movement who also do not understand the difference as well.

Our aim is to educate people that supporting Zionism is to undermine the very basis of Israel and Israeli Nationalism, as Zionism is not a nationalist ideology - it is an imperialist, expansionist and racist political ideology more akin to Nazism than Nationalism.

Zionists, Islamists and Nazis are all variants of anti-nationalist, racist and globalist ideologies.

The irony being of course that the Zionists, being Nazis politically and active Nazi collaborators during the Second World War, have far more in common with the Nazis on sites like Stormfront than they have with any nationalists.

The Zionists and Nazis are mirror images of each other.

Israeli Nationalists are those who want to see an Israel that integrates all its citizens, that fights Islamist and Zionist extremism, that stays within its own borders and takes care of all its people.

Thats why we must support Israel and Israeli Nationalists and resist both Zionism and Islamism.

Tories Do A Thatcher

So you voted Tory did you.

Well not only will you lose your job, but now the Tories are going to do a Thatcher and allow immigrants to come in and take British jobs whilst sacking hundreds of thousands of British workers.

2010 is 1979 all over again.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/immigration/8085476/David-Cameron-hints-at-relaxation-of-immigration-cap.html

The Prime Minister promised business leaders, who have been voicing alarm over tough restrictions, that they would not be stopped from bringing the ''best talent'' to Britain.

''As we control our borders and bring immigration to a manageable level, we will not impede you from attracting the best talent from around the world,'' he told the CBI conference in central London.

Concerns have been raised that the Government's interim cap, introduced in July, is already hurting British businesses and scientific research capability.

Oil executives, law firms and cancer charities are among those to have warned that they are being prevented from employing enough skilled workers from outside the EU, with complaints that quotas are ''arbitrary''.

City firms have been lobbying particularly hard for more flexibility when the permanent system comes into force next spring.

And Business Secretary Vince Cable clashed with Downing Street when he appeared to take issue with Government policy, calling for the cap to be "flexible".

The Prime Minister's spokesman accepted that business had been ''talking'' about the issues. But he stressed that Mr Cameron's pledge this morning did not signal a ''rethink'', because final decisions on the level and shape of the limits had yet to be taken.

''It is not a rethink, because the position at the present time is that we have got a temporary cap which runs until next spring, and we are consulting on a cap for future years,'' the spokesman added.

''We will be looking obviously at the level of that cap and at the way in which it operates and making sure that works in a way that allows business to bring the people that they need into the UK.''

Social Cleansing Begins

The social cleansing of the poor from London serves two purposes, one it will clear new homes for immigrants to take and secondly it will destroy existing communities which are mainly white working class and ensure that they cannot resist the immigration take over of their estates and areas.

Social cleansing is the prelude to the ethnic cleansing of whites from London, which will begin in places like Tower Hamlets which are now Islamist colonises run by Islamist politicians with sharia courts and Islamist street militias being formed as we speak.

Ministers were accused last night of deliberately driving poor people out of wealthy inner cities as London councils revealed they were preparing a mass exodus of low-income families from the capital because of coalition benefit cuts.

Representatives of London boroughs told a meeting of MPs last week that councils have already block-booked bed and breakfasts and other private accommodation outside the capital – from Hastings, on the south coast, to Reading to the west and Luton to the north – to house those who will be priced out of the London market.

Councils in the capital are warning that 82,000 families – more than 200,000 people – face losing their homes because private landlords, enjoying a healthy rental market buoyed by young professionals who cannot afford to buy, will not cut their rents to the level of caps imposed by ministers.

The controversy follows comment last week by Iain Duncan Smith, the work and pensions secretary, who said the unemployed should "get on the bus" and look for work. Another unnamed minister said the benefit changes would usher in a phenomenon similar to the Highland Clearances in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, when landlords evicted thousands of tenants from their homes in the north of Scotland.

In a sign that housing benefit cuts are fast becoming the most sensitive political issue for the coalition, Jon Cruddas, the Labour MP for Dagenham, last night accused the government of deliberate social engineering.

"It is an exercise in social and economic cleansing," he said, claiming that families would be thrown into turmoil, with children having to move school and those in work having to travel long distances to their jobs. "It is tantamount to cleansing the poor out of rich areas – a brutal and shocking piece of social engineering," Cruddas added.

The National Housing Federation's chief executive, David Orr, described the housing benefit cuts as "truly shocking". He said: "Unless ministers urgently reconsider these punitive cuts, we could see more people sleeping rough than at any stage during the last 30 years."

The issue is fuelling tension inside the coalition. Simon Hughes, the Liberal Democrat deputy leader, said last night he would table amendments to change housing benefit rules. He said: "I would fully expect to be one of those putting forward proposals for changes in the housing benefit rules, particularly for London."

Under a clampdown on housing benefit, the chancellor, George Osborne, announced that housing benefit will be capped from April next year at £400 a week for a four-bedroom house, £340 for a three-bedroom property, £290 for two bedrooms and £250 for a one-bedroom property. In addition, from October 2011 payments will be capped at 30% of average local rents.

At a meeting of the Commons work and pensions select committee last Wednesday, the day Osborne announced £81bn of cuts in the spending review, MPs were told by London council chiefs that the housing benefit cuts could have devastating results.

Nigel Minto, head of sustainable communities at London Councils, who works closely with the capital's housing directors, told the committee that since June London councils had been "procuring bed and breakfast accommodation" in outer London and beyond. The committee was told similar problems would occur in other cities with high-priced property such as Brighton and Oxford.

Jeremy Swain, chief executive of the homelessness charity Thames Reach, said he was particularly worried about the impact on numbers sleeping rough in London. "We have reduced rough sleeping dramatically and we have a target of zero rough sleeping in London by 2012. For the first time I'm thinking that we will not achieve that," he said.

Karen Buck, shadow minister for work and pensions, said: "The sheer scale and extremity of the coalition proposals means almost a million households are affected across the country."

In today's Observer, Labour leader Ed Miliband says last week's spending review took Britain back to the 80s. "This was the week that took the compassion out of David Cameron's claim to compassionate Conservatism," he writes, accusing the Tories of displaying "arrogant ideological swagger".

But last night Cameron insisted the cuts were tough but fair. "Departments have to make savings. I don't underestimate how difficult this will be. But we are doing what we are doing because it is the right thing to do – right by our economy, right for our country."

A DWP spokesperson said: "The current way that it [housing benefit] is administered is unfair. It's not right that some families on benefits have been able to live in homes that most working families could not afford. However, we are absolutely committed to supporting the most vulnerable families and have tripled our discretionary housing payments to provide a safety net for those who need it."

More Diversity and Colonisation = terrorism

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/hardliners-call-for-deaths-of-surrey-muslims-2112268.html

Islamic extremists have started openly calling for the destruction of a controversial Muslim sect in a major escalation of sectarian conflict within British Islam, an investigation by The Independent has revealed.

Members of the Ahmadiyya Community have seen a significant upsurge in threats and intimidation over the past four months, sparked by an extremist attack on two of their largest mosques in Pakistan earlier this year.

Hardline Islamists in Britain have been distributing leaflets calling for the murder of AhmadiMuslims in Kingston-upon-Thames whilst mosques have been vandalised in Newham and Crawley. Preachers in south London have also been orchestrating a boycott of Ahmadi businesses and Ofcom has had to reprimand an Islamic satellite channel for repeatedly calling the sect "Wajib-ul Qatal" - an Arabic phrase used to describe those who digress from mainstream Islam that translates as "liable for death".

Community leaders say the upsurge in animosity towards Ahmadis is directly linked to violence in Pakistan where local Taliban militants have declared war on sects that they deem to be heretical such as the Ahmadis and the Shi'a.

Although the Ahmadis have been targeted by extremists in the past, the combined attacks on two mosques in Lahore in May was the most brazen assault on their community yet, with 93 worshippers killed as they gathered for Friday prayers, including a number of Britons.

Since the mid 1980s the Ahmadi community has been headquartered in Morden, south London, after their leaders were forced to flee Pakistan, the only country in the world that legally forbids them from declaring themselves Muslims. They claim to have 70 million adherents worldwide although detractors say the number is closer to two million. An estimated 15,000 live in Britain including their spiritual leader Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad.

The Ahmadi leadership had hoped the attacks in Lahore would prompt an outpouring of sympathy among British Muslims. Instead, they say, it has emboldened a minority of extremists to openly target them in an upsurge in intimidation.

Rafiq Hayat, national president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK, told The Independent: "Through leaflet distribution, posting of hate material on websites and via programmes on satellite TV (often in Urdu and other south Asian languages) our community is being made a target of hatred and hostility by preachers of hate. The perpetrators of this act are Muslims and whilst they are certainly not representative of the vast majority of Muslims in this country, they are creating hatred in society."

Police in Kingston-upon-Thames have opened a hate crime investigation earlier this summer when an Ahmadi woman was handed a leaflet by a man which stated: "Kill [an Ahmadi] and the doors to heaven will be open for you." In Tooting, meanwhile, some mainstream Sunni preachers have urged follower to boycotts Ahmadi businesses.

To many orthodox Muslims, the Ahmadis are considered heretical because they believe that their 19th century founder was none other than the Mahdi - Islam's equivalent of the messiah - and the successor to the Prophet Mohamed.

Islamic satellite channels, a rapidly expanding but largely unregulated section of the broadcast media, have played an instrumental role in recent anti-Ahmadiyya campaigning. This week Ofcom criticised the Ummah Channel for a string of three programmes broadcast shortly before and after the Lahore massacre in which clerics and callers alike said Ahmadis should be killed.

In one programme "Seal of the Prophethood" a cleric declared: Until now, whenever one has claimed to be a prophet the Muslim nation has issued fatwa that he should be killed. It is only that at present Muslims are weak and they do not have the power to slice such a man in two parts."

On 21 May the Ummah Channel broadcast a in which Islamic scholars debated the status of Ahmadis within Islam.

When a caller named Asim asked for a scholar to explain whether Ahmadis were legitimate Muslims the imam replied: "Since the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) the Sahiba [knowledgeable scholars] have confirmed that anyone who believes in a prophet after the Holy Prophet is a kafir [unbeliever], murtad [apostate] and Wajib-ul Qatal [liable for death]."

He later added: "Until now, whoever has claimed prophethood, the Muslim Ummah has issued the fatwa for them to be killed. And all these false prophets have always been killed. It is only now that Muslims have become weak and they do not have the strength that they should cut such people into two."

Ahmadis were also frequently referred to as "filth" who should be avoided by mainstream Muslims.

Ofcom ruled that the Ummah Channel breached broadcasting regulations with its "abusive treatment of the religious views and beliefs of members of the Ahmadiyya community".

A representative of Ummah Channel said the station has now broadcast apologies for the programmes. "The Ummah Channel would like to express their sincere apologies for any offence caused," the spokesperson said. "It was never the intention of the Ummah Channel to support or condone these opinions that were delivered by independent scholars during 'live' phone in shows."

The Ahmadis say that doctrinal opposition towards their community is being spearheaded by Khatme Nubawwat Academy, a British offshoot of a Pakistani group that is dedicated to confronting Ahmadi beliefs.

The group, whose name translates to "The Finality of the Prophet", has close connections to the Pakistani establishment and met Pakistan's high commissioner in the UK earlier this summer.

They also held a conference in Newham on 18th June in which one of their speakers claimed that the attacks on the two mosques on Lahore were an Ahmadi conspiracy.

Imam Suhail Bawa, a leading Khatme Nubbawat preacher, told worshippers: "This will become apparent very soon to you all that Qadiani [a derogatory term for Ahmadis] themselves are behind this whole conspiracy. [They] are responsible for whatever has happened in Lahore. This is all Qadiani conspiracy. They now come to television programs to try to "falsely" demonstrate their victimisation."

He then went on to warn that any attempt to try and change laws in Pakistan which forbid Ahmadis from calling themselves Muslims would be met with violence on a similar scale to a previous massacre of Ahmadis in 1953 in Lahore.

"If the anti-Qadiani laws or the blasphemy laws are touched by anyone in Pakistan," Imam Bawa said, "then the 1953 Lahore agitation against the Qadianis will be repeated in the streets once more. The streets and roads of Lahore were filled with blood in that agitation."

Khatme Nubbawat preachers have also given anti-Ahmadi speeches in Tooting Islamic Centre.

On the website for the group's east London offices in Forest Gate, Ahmadis are described as "nothing but a gang of traitors, apostates and infidels". The term Wajib-ul Qatal is not used although their preachers in Pakistan often use the term.

Akber Choudhry, a spokesperson for the Khatme Nubawwat Academy, said: "[We are] an independent UK organisation that is loosely affiliated with other such organisations around the world, and one of their major goals is to counter Qadiani (Ahmadiyya) propaganda within the laws of the jurisdiction in which each such organisation is based. We condemn all atrocities being committed in Pakistan and it is our wish and desire that Pakistan be free from all war, foreign intervention and attacks on civilians."

Asked whether he thought it was acceptable to describe a religious group as a "gang of traitors, apostates and infidels" Mr Choudhry replied: "The words 'apostates' and 'infidels' are understood differently in English than in their Islamic theological sense, especially within the Urdu-speaking Muslims, and can be replaced by terms more sensitive to the current climate in which the connotations of these words have changed quite rapidly in the past few years."

But Mr Hayat said he believed groups like Khatme Nubawwat create an atmosphere that encourages ordinary Muslims to be hostile towards Ahmadis.

"Freedom of speech is one thing, but incitement of hatred is another matter altogether," he said. "We appeal to the authorities to nip this in the bud; otherwise this campaign of hatred against Ahmadi Muslims today will tomorrow grow into a threat against other moderate Muslims and indeed the wider society."

Seven Romanian children – some as young as nine – were found being forced to work as farm labourers in near-freezing conditions in Worcester last week, The Independent on Sunday has learned.

The children were among 50 Romanian workers discovered picking spring onions in a field in the Kempsey area of Worcester by the Gangmaster's Licensing Authority (GLA). The seven children, aged between nine and 15, were being made to work from 7.30 in the morning until dusk, dressed in thin summer clothes, as temperatures dropped close to zero.

Wellington boots that looked suitable for a five-year-old were also found in the field, suggesting even younger children had worked there. Investigators for the GLA say it is the first time they have come across such young children working in fields in the UK.

They were brought to the field in the back of a box van, with no food or water for the day. Six of the children have been taken into local authority care. Some were working alongside parents, but others appeared to have been brought to the farm on their own.

The workers said they were not sure how much they would be paid, but intelligence suggests that a household of up to 40 people would get no more than £100 a week for the job. The GLA, West Mercia Police and the UK Border Agency are still investigating and plan to arrest at least one unlicensed gangmaster this week.

Paul Whitehouse, chairman of the GLA, said: "In 2007 we celebrated the 200th anniversary of the end of the slave trade, but in 2010 we've got people working in appalling conditions who, while not actually being slaves, are very close to it."

The actress Juliet Stevenson is one of many leading figures supporting the IoS's campaign for an end to modern slavery and human trafficking, describing them as "the worst manifestation of human cruelty".

The actress said: "If it doesn't concern people that someone can be hijacked, kidnapped and manipulated away from their homes and families into horrendous situations that are at best hardship and at worst physical and mental brutality, then what does concern people?"

Stevenson said victims of trafficking who managed to escape their tormenters in Britain often have to go through a second ordeal at the hands of immigration authorities. "If you're not discovered you have to endure ongoing hell, but if you are discovered and thrown into an increasingly ruthless and unjust asylum system then you're also damned."

"Human trafficking represents just about the worst manifestation of human cruelty. If you're talking about the 'great' in Great Britain, let's look at having some moral leadership."

The Government faces calls from a growing number of high-profile campaigners to sign up to the EU directive on human trafficking, which would make it easier to prosecute traffickers and protect victims. Caroline Lucas MP, leader of the Green Party, and Yvette Cooper MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary and Minister for Women, have joined those demanding that the Government opt into EU trafficking legislation. There were signs that the Government feels compelled to respond to pressure to sign up to the directive. Simon Hughes MP, deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats, said last night: "Signing up to the EU directive has not been ruled out; it is under consideration by the Government."

The GLA is still waiting to hear the size of the cuts it can expect following the Comprehensive Spending Review. The authority is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, which faces budget cuts of 29 per cent.

Voices for change

"It's appalling that, in the 21st century, slavery still exists. That's why the Government must back Europe-wide action against trafficking. By pandering to anti-European prejudices in some parts of the Conservative Party, ministers are putting the safety of thousands of women and children at risk."

Yvette Cooper MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary and Women's Minister

"It seems a no-brainer. I oppose modern slavery like I oppose ancient slavery. Where's the argument? It's like saying 'should we care if someone is killed'."

Joan Bakewell, Broadcaster

"It's definitely a hidden problem because we think of slavery as being abolished. When I hear about modern slavery I tend to think of the Arab princes that bring their own staff and treat them abominably."

Alexei Sayle, Comedian, actor and author

"Wilberforce described slavery as 'a disgrace and a dishonour to this country', and I'd say exactly the same about the coalition's decision to opt out of the EU directive on human trafficking. I've signed this petition on behalf of the Green Party because Greens will always be on the side of people who are vulnerable, oppressed or abused."

Caroline Lucas MP, Leader, Green Party

"I'm astonished that we are so limp in this business. We know it's going on but we don't do anything about it. It's a moral principle. If we go back to Wilberforce, all the moral arguments against slavery were established then and we shouldn't go back on them by neglect."

Brian Sewell, Art critic

"For too long sex slavery and other forms of trafficking have been brushed under the carpet. The Archbishop of Canterbury said sex trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery and it is vital it becomes a public policy issue. The Independent on Sunday's campaign is vital in raising the profile of this issue. It's a shame that David Cameron and William Hague's Euro-scepticism is preventing the UK signing up to the EU directive to protect these people, but I also feel the police should name and shame the people who create the demand."

Denis MacShane, Rotherham MP and former Europe minister

"It's important because it's the thin end of the wedge. So many people rely on the minimum wage so if that's being eroded it can affect a lot of people."

The Independent on Sunday is campaigning to persuade the Government to sign up to the EU directive on human trafficking. The directive will strengthen our laws to protect victims and make it easier to prosecute those who enslave them. BNP Loses another councillor

Another BNP councillor goees, thats three in a week.

It looks like the entire structure of Nick 'Ponzi Scheme' Grffin's BNP is falling apart.

As for the truly mad Dowson, presently posting under another new name on the BDF forum when drunk at night, I suspect his 'exile' from the court of Ponzi Nick is more to do with the imminent court case dates and protecting the money siphoned off out of the BNP and into Dowsons front companies.

By Dowson walking away now I suspect they think they will protect the money diverted from the BNP into Dowsons companies, a plan probably endorsed by Jane Phillips who is advising Nick.

It is a shame that Jane Phillips has got involve with the BNP as she has done some sterling work for the Steadfast Trust.

From the blog of Michael Simpkins "Confessions of a taxi driver"

Important announcement

Cash flow is the life blood of any business. Of course cash flow doesn’t have to be cash. It can be money in a bank account in credit or form of an overdraft. It can be available credit on a credit card or simply cash in hand. When it runs out the business cannot operate.

I have been in that situation too often. It is not because the business is not performing, it is because most businesses to business transactions are done on a buy now pay later basis. In other words I do the work and send out an invoice. There is a large element of trust involved that the invoiced business will pay on time; if they don’t I still have to pay my bills on time and that is when the cash flow dries up.

When the cash flow dries up you have to go cap in hand to the bank to increase your own borrowing at a cost to you or not pay your own bills on time, leaving you with a history of tardy payments to your own creditors. Worst of all you cannot pay yourself a wage out of your own business and your family goes without.

Therefore I am disappointed to hear that The British National Party is not paying its bills. I know from personal experience of two local printers who had to wait six months for payment and that was only after a lot of badgering to Head Office by myself and other officials to get them paid. These are small family businesses like my own who take a risk doing any work for the BNP. It is also personally embarrassing when you walk into that business and get told that they still haven’t been paid.

It has been confirmed to me that the Party has attempted to enter into a voluntary payment agreement with its creditors of 20% of all money owed in final settlement. These are businesses like the two mentioned before that risked all doing business with the BNP and supplied the goods or services on trust that they would be paid. More importantly they will undoubtedly be British businesses, the kind of business we claim to support and encourage.

These businesses may well suffer financial hardship because the BNP has dried up their cash flow and their families will go without. They may even go out of business and certainly won’t do business with us again. It is not the way I do business.

As an honourable businessman I cannot stay with any organisation that puts other businessmen out of business or their families in financial hardship. More importantly it is a breach of trust and may even be criminal if the intent to pay was never there in the first place.

For these reasons I am resigning my membership of the British National Party with immediate effect. I will retain my place on Corsham Town Council until the end of the current term in 2013 and reconsider my options then.

About me

Elected to Corsham Town Council in 2007 as a BNP councillor, it caused quite a fuss at the time. I have my own taxi business specialising in transport for the disabled in wheelchairs. I campaign locally on road safety issues and the rights of easy access to buildings by people in wheelchairs. I am no longer a member of The British National Party.

King Rat and his gopher flee sinking BNP ship

It appears that Dowson and his gopher Paul Golding have both quit the BNP.

That means the BNP is now down another councillor.

Thats two in a week.

It appears that a falling out has occurred between King Rat Dowson and Golding on one side and Pat Harrington and the Walker brothers on the other side.

Harrington Being an old hand at nationalist inner circle plots, it was obvious what side would win eventually.

But that doesnt mean Dowson is gone.

Oh no no - King Rat Dowson and Griffin are the only ones who know where the money is, so expect Dowson to remain on the fringes doing as Griffin demands as Dowson is Griffins Gollum, guarding the gold for him.

But so what if Dowson and Golding have gone.

They are a symptom of the real problem, and that problem is Griffin.

The biggest idiot of all is the idiot who keeps appointing idiots into their positions in the party.

Until Griffin goes, then nothing changes.

Everyone is expendable according to Griffin - except himself.

Cameron urged to get a grip on immigration

from carrentals.com web site

October 23rd, 2010 by Martin Fellowes

Tory MP Nick Boles, a member of PM David Cameron’s ‘Notting Hill Set’, has advised the PM that he needs to either control immigration or face the social breakdown of the country.

A media-based opinion poll revealed that more than 50 per cent consider unchecked immigration the UK’s main problem after the economy. Boles, founder of the Policy Exchange think tank,is calling for robust measures to lessen the flow of migrants entering the UK. New and tougher policies, he said, would cut the influx of migrants and help unite the country.

Measures suggested include axing translation services to save million of pounds, a focus on the teaching of English history, a pledge of allegiance to the country taken in primary school and the expulsion of unemployed migrant nationals of EU countries.

Another recent poll showed the Labour Party with a .three point lead on the Conservatives and Lib-Dem supporters defecting in droves to Ed Millband.

The concern over immigration were at their most prevalent in Wales and the Midlands and in the age group of 55 plus. Boles’s opinions stem from his time as a councillor in London’s inner city, where he gained first-hand knowledge of the downside of mass immigration. Housing for the young adult children of residents was a major problem, with most being forced to move away from their parents and the areas where they had grown up.

According to Boles, the July 7 London bombings showed that attempts to integrate new arrivals in to the existing communities had been a total failure and that local authorities no longer had control over the numbers of incomers. He added that drastic measures needed to be taken to avoid social meltdown, especially in large cities with their concentration of immigrants.
